SMS

Rhizon SMS are samplers used to collect water for analyzing macro elements, however they are not suitable for analyzing metals. They can be used in disturbed soils, lab, greenhouse, and in the upper layer in the field. Rhizon SMS samplers have a SS 316 strengthener wire which can be bent permanently.

MOM

Rhizon MOM are samplers used to collect water for analyzing macro and micro elements, dissolved gases and DOC. They can be used in disturbed soils, in the lab and in the greenhouse. Rhizon MOM samplers have a glass fiber wire as strengthener.

CSS

Rhizon CSS samplers are developed for direct sampling in cores and undisturbed sediments. They are used to collect water for analyzing macro and micro elements, dissolved gases and DOC. Rhizon CSS samplers have a glass fiber wire as strengthener. 

Rhizon CSS samplers have a flat tip, which minimizes soil disturbance when inserting the Rhizon, and therefore allows for direct sampling.

The porous membrane should be inserted fully into the soil, and needs to be at least 0.5 cm from both ends of the core or column.

FLEX

Rhizon Flex samplers are developed for disturbed soils. They are used to collect water for analyzing macro and micro elements, dissolved gases and DOC. All Rhizon Flex samplers have a nylon wire as strengthener. They need to be installed during the filling of pots or cylinders, which makes it easy to install them at the intended depth.
